Jimrock Consultancy is the data controller and processor for the purposes of data shared with us. We will do all we can to protect your privacy and store any personal information you share with us securely. What personal data do we collect?

We collect and process: name, email address, and web user statistics if applicable. 

How do we collect information about you and why do we have it?

Most of the personal information we process is given to us directly by you. We collect information from you: 

  • if you complete our contact us form on this website

  • If you sign up to our mailing list

We also collect information automatically about your visit to our website. Please see our Use of Cookies section below for more details.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information is your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting contact@jimrock.co.

How we use the personal information we have

We collect information from you so we can:

  • Make sure we communicate appropriately with you in line with your wishes.

  • Provide you with relevant information.

  • Send you our mailing, if you asked to receive it.

  • Improve your experience on our website. When you indicate your preferences through your use of our website, we may use this information to personalise the site so it works better for you.

  • Right to object to processing: we will process data on the basis of either consent or if we believe we have a legitimate interest. You always have the right to object to receiving direct marketing.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. We have one month to respond to you.

Who sees your information?

We will not share your information with any third parties for the purposes of direct marketing.

We use data processors who are third parties who provide elements of services for us. We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct. If it is necessary for us to transfer your personal information outside of the UK this will only be done in accordance with the UK GDPR. 

How long is data kept for?

We will keep personal information only for as long as we need it to maintain our relationship with you, provide you with the products, services or information you requested, to comply with the law, and to ensure we do not communicate with individuals that asked us not to.

Our site may include links to websites of other organisations, this privacy notice does not cover how that organisation processes personal information. We encourage you to read the privacy notices on the other websites you visit.
